About the Artist
Known as the Third Generation Master of the Northern School of Haiti, Jean-Baptiste Jean is a well-known painter, originally from Cap-Hatien, Haiti. First a student of Cap-Hatien painter Philome Obin, JBJ also studied at the Centre d'Art in Port-au-Prince, where he later became an official member.
